For several years now, we at ‘A’ Team Guides have been handling the tour guide requirements for virtually all the cruise liners carrying English speaking pax that call at all ports in the South West of England. This is done either directly with ships or, more usually, through handling agents and specialist tour companies.

Why the 'A' Team ?

The MD of a most grateful tour company for whom we worked (and regularly still do) christened us the A-Team because we pulled several rabbits out of several hats for him when a cruise ship made major last minute changes to the tours being operated.

Why use us ?  

We have access to a pool of over 30 Blue Badge Tourist Guides plus those with other qualifications in an area covering Somerset, Devon and Cornwall so can provide guides for liners calling at Dartmouth, Torquay, Plymouth, Fowey, Falmouth & Penzance.

We use the most suitable and experienced guide for each tour, sourcing as close to the port as possible then, for larger calls, radiate outwards. This keeps your travel costs down to a minimum. We familiarise guides with itineraries & tour timings, prepare mobile phone contact lists for the operator and, where necessary, car registration details for dock security purposes. We also check itineraries for timings, practicality etc - all too often, a little local knowledge makes all the difference!

If required, we can also act as dockside reps for your tour company .... thereby saving you accommodation, travel & subsistence expenses.
