Notes on Beckwith Family Tree 8
Generation 9 onwards :
Offspring of
Joseph Beckwith (b1830) & Elizabeth Morris
| Note |
|
The info for this tree and Tree 9 has been derived from an unclear photocopy of a tree of unknown origin so total accuracy is not guaranteed. Any comments & corrections gratefully received ! A puzzling feature of this tree is that, if it was indeed obtained from/via Howard Trotman (generation 10), it does not show his family at all so which one of Joseph's daughters (gen 9) was his mother is not known.

Joseph Thomas Beckwith - Birth in 1854 is shown on tree as "UK" implying that the others were all born after emigration. Only Beckwith born within the Greater London area during 1854 was a John Charles, born in Bermondsey in the Dec qtr. which is not far from the Old Kent Road. Died 25th Dec 1930, presumably in Australia. Marriage to Francis Emma BENNETT (1874-1953) is shown as 1896 |

Howard TROTMAN's mother must have been one of Annie, Jane & Alice, but which is not known. Howard married Joy ? and both died in 1985. They had two sons, Colin and Keith Trotman, the former LKA in Coolbinia, Western Australia in 1991. As noted elsewhere, Colin Trotman has inherited the Goldsmith's Freedom doc of 1854 of "Joseph, son of Robert William", which confirms which Joseph it was who emigrated to Australia, but unfortunately he gave no more info on intervening generations. |
